The Carnegie museum of natural history is located in Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania USA. It maintains an international reputation by continuing the research and is ranked among the top five natural history museums in US.

The Hillman hall displays gems and jewelry on temporary basis. While the new expanded Wertz gallery gives wide collections of new gems and jewelry pieces that never been on exhibit. In Wertz gallery, approximately 500 gems, crystals, jewelry and other pieces of gem art will be on display in the permanent collections. Also, it host a special temporary and traveling exhibits around the world. The hall showcases more than 1,300 minerals and gems from all over the world, it includes jewel box of lush colors, wondrous forms and striking contrast. It displays more than 400 beautiful specimens. Hillman hall of minerals and gems is dedicated to gems, crystal from which they come and jewelry comprising the precious stones.
