The national Jewelry Treasury, Iranian Crown Jewels is housed within the central bank of the Islamic republic of Iran. It has most dazzling collection of gemstones and jewelry known in the world. The crown jewels of Iran have been little more than a legend in the past and most expensive jewels of the world collected over the centuries. The most impressive objects are placed on public display. The treasury of the national jewels is open to public and each piece of collection is the reflection of the tumultuous history of the nation and artistry of the residents of the land. It has collection of the most expensive jewels of the world collection over centuries and it recalls the memories of the past.

The reason of presenting these jewels is that people should be familiar about the rich culture and civilization of Iran and also should know how these gems were pursued. The National Jewelry Treasury presenting these collections which were inherited and preserved shows that the value of the jewels collections was unlimited. It is the reflection of the creativity and taste of Iranian craftsmen and artist over different eras of history and it represents the artistic and cultural heritage of the vast country of Iran. These jewels and rarities were decorations of the rulers during the past and often show the glory and extravagance of their courts, as well as their power and wealth.

The collection contains precious gems that are unique in the world. Incomparable jewels, precious and peerless collections were added to the treasury along with two items, one was turquoises extracted from local turquoise mines and the other are pearls hunted from Persian Gulf.
