Semi Precious Stone Chrysoprase Bracelet

Chrysoprase is a gemstone variety of chalcedony (fibrous form of quartz), which contains small quantities of nickel. Its color is normally apple-green, but sometimes varies to deep green. It is cryptocrystalline that means that it is composed of crystals so fine that they could not be seen as distinct particles under normal magnification. This sets it apart from rock crystal, amethyst, citrine, and Chrysoprase Braceletalso the other varieties of crystalline quartz which are basically transparent and then formed from easily recognized.

six-sided crystals. Other members of the cryptocrystalline quartz family also include agate, carnelian, and onyx. Unlike many non-transparent members of the quartz family, it is the color of Chrysoprase, rather than any other pattern of markings, that makes it desirable. The word Chrysoprase comes from the Greek chrysos meaning 'gold' and parson, meaning 'leek'.

Healing ability: Chrysoprase is the rarest member of the Chalcedony family that is found in the U.S., Brazil, and Australia. Chrysoprase is believed to prevent depression and also to improve equilibrium, balance, communication, eloquence, hope, youthfulness, and a higher consciousness. Legend says that Chrysoprase is a protector of young animals and young children.
