Dresden Green Diamond,

Dresden green diamond is the largest natural green diamond found in 1722. Dresden green is a pear-shaped cut weighing 40.70 carats (8.2 g) and it has been categorized as rare Type IIa diamond of exceptional quality and assigned with a clarity grade of VS-1 by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). If the stone is slightly re-cut to eliminate the inclusions, it can be upgraded to clarity grade of IF (Internally flawless). The other unique feature of Dresden green diamond is that the green color is uniformly distributed throughout the diamond. The name Dresden green derives from Dresden, the capital city of Saxony, Germany. The stone was homed permanently at Albertinium Museum in Dresden.
