Feldspars are used extensively in the glass and ceramics industries. The feldspar-rich rocks lorikeet and a few anorthosites are employed as both center and exterior facing slabs. Several feldspars are used as gemstones.

Feldspar is a rock-forming mineral. It is important technologically in making glass, ceramics, enamelware and soaps. It is also used in creation bonding material for abrasive wheels, cements, fertilizer, and tarred roofing materials and as a sizing or filler in textiles and paper.
