It was a very busy weekend for philanthropists Sue and Lester Smith, who on Saturday night chaired the Orange Show Gala (see above left) and then also on Sunday was honored at a dinner offering a slip peek of the fresh Lester and Sue Smith Gem Vault at the Houston Museum of Natural Science.
More than 160 of the city's principal lights turned out at the museum to greet the Smiths and jewelry designer Ernesto Moreira, whose conceptions are part of the lasting exhibition, which includes loose gems and over-the-top jewelry designs.
