This Saturday's Blue Diamond appears set to follow the tendency of the past two years, with pricey yearlings ruling the market. It seems quite a as since Bel Esprit ($9000 yearling) hit a gust for the 'cheapies' in Victoria's wealthy two-year-old race.Last year's winner Nadeem became the the majority expensive Blue Diamond winner, being a $700,000 graduate of the 2005 William Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale. A year earlier and another expensive Redoute’s Choice colt landed the prize.
