Semi Precious Stone Opal Rings

In Twelfth Night Shakespeare referred to opal as "the queen of gems' " The Roman historian Pliny described it as having "the fire of the carbuncle, the brilliant purple of the amethyst and the sea green color of the emerald, Opal Ringsall unblemished together in incredible union"

The Romans considered opal a symbol of hope, and suitable attribute for a gem with a rainbow locked within it. The Arabs whispered opals fell from heaven in flashes of lightning, thus acquiring their fiery colors.

Healing ability: Opal has been described in medieval times as heal for diseases of the eye.

Mystical power: Black opal is regarded as a tremendously lucky stone. In ancient times opal was conventional as a symbol of authenticity and confidence. It has reputed healing properties, particularly to increase mental capacities such as creative imagination. Black opals worn near the heart on necklaces made of bullion are said to defend one from the evil eye and protect travelers on journeys to far absent lands. Opals have been ground up and used magic potions to cure the body, ward off bad dreams, and used an energy improvement tools.
