Semi Precious Stone Ametrine
Ametrine is one of the prestigious gemstone
initiating with a color of yellowish green to orange brown. Ametrine
popularly referred as trystine or the trade name for the stone
is bolivianite which is a naturally occurring variety of quartz.
It is a blend of amethyst and citrine
with zones of purple and yellow or orange. Generally, most of
the commercially available ametrine is mined in Bolivia, although
the deposits being exploited in Brazil and India. The color zones
exist n ametrine is due to differing oxidation states of iron
within the crystal. The artificial ametrine can
be created using different heat treatment of amethyst.
